The fifteen members of the Security Council of the UN have concluded without agreement on Thursday the meeting held to establish a no-fly zone over Libya. The international community remains divided and what seems increasingly clear is that if Gaddafi is due to the rebellion, will be a failure especially for Europe and especially for French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who has maintained a strong position against the regime Tripoli
In my opinion I am ashamed to Europe, I am ashamed for the humanitarian effort of so many NGOs dragged along the ground. Europe is a world incapable of making decisions. The government knew agree to save the banks, but now are unable to help a people in struggle against the tyrant. I have shame because, once again, we miss our appointment with a suffering people that will be even more thanks to the incompetence of the world powers to agree
Tunisia has gone through a historic revolution and the capacity can't handle the large number of people requiring urgent international assistance. According to the International Red Cross about a hundred thousand people have crossed the Libyan-Tunisian border, being this a serious problem which must find a solution. It also affects the economic aspect, because the countries of Europe closer to Tunisia, Italy and Greece have seen their stock markets were down 4'62 and 4'58 % respectively. Among the most immediate consequences are the increase in oil prices, the price of currencies, price increase energy and raw materials, falls on European stock exchanges and Wall Street, social instability, problems with energy supply ... This entails that if a price increase in Europe by such circumstances, the European Central Bank will be forced to raise interest rates in Europe, and must add that the economic and productive structure of the European continent not through their best time.
In Libya has been that the country has risen up against the dictator Gaddafi emulating their neighbors in Tunisia and Egypt, arriving to take half of the country. Gaddafi said those who stood against him were not Libyans who wanted to leave the dictatorship but young drugged by Al Qaeda and the U.S., and was going to go house to house killing all those who rise up against him.
So, a month later civil war, the Arab League, African League and major NATO leaders asked the Security Council to authorize UN intervention and sea air on the country to help the rebels fighting Gaddafi's dictatorship. The approved and they are there.
I took the information from a spanish page because i don't understand the problema in Libia
I think that this country has undergone a historical revolution and this has several consequences:
Firstly, many people need international aid, because the revolution has caused much damage. The first matter of concern to Europe is the economic aspect, because countries as Italy has seen their stock markets have fallen.
Another possible consequence is the rising price of oil, ralw materials and many more importants things. On the other hand, other important problem can be power supply.
